Sudan: 185 died in clashes; US diplomatic convoy also targeted

The American diplomatic convoy was also fired upon during the ongoing clashes in Sudan, although no one was hurt.

Anthony Blanken, the US secretary of state, reportedly described the occurrence as exceedingly reckless and dangerous in response to it.

According to media reports, brutal skirmishes between opposition groups are still ongoing in Sudan, where the home of Aidan O'Hara, the European ambassador there, which is located in the country's capital Khartoum, has also come under attack.

The European ambassador was unharmed in the attack on the Khartoum mansion, according to the Irish Foreign Minister.

The continuing three-day conflict in Sudan has reportedly resulted in 185 verified deaths and more than 1,800 injuries.

While both military and legislative forces have asserted control of crucial regions in Khartoum, the United Nations claims that heavy weaponry and shells have been employed in airstrikes in Khartoum.
