Nigeria: Floods kill hundreds, leave millions homeless

Floods in Nigeria have killed over 500 people and left millions homeless.

According to foreign media, the flood in Nigeria has submerged most of the country and so far the number of dead has reached 500 while more than 1500 are injured.

According to media reports, 1.4 million people have been displaced by the floods in Nigeria and about 8 million people have been displaced from their areas.

According to officials, more than 45,000 houses were completely destroyed as a result of the flood and more than 70,500 acres of agricultural land were destroyed.

According to the Nigerian Ministry of Human Rights, Nigeria also faced its worst flood situation in 2012 in which 363 people died and about 600,000 people had to leave their homes.
