The Palestinian resistance organization Hamas called the new proposals presented in the cease-fire talks consistent with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu's recent statements based on his rejection of a future cease-fire.
Shortly after US Secretary of State Anthony Blanken arrived in Tel Aviv on a Middle East visit, Hamas said the hope for any significant progress in the talks is diminishing.
In the statement, Hamas said it has received new proposals presented in the two-day Doha talks to reduce differences in the ceasefire agreement mediated by the United States, Qatar, and Egypt.
According to Hamas, the new proposals are fully consistent with the views of Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu, who has refused the withdrawal of the Israeli army from Gaza and a complete ceasefire.
In the statement, Hamas also presented its two conditions to the mediators to make the ceasefire talks fruitful.
Hamas said that we hold Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu responsible for sabotaging the mediation efforts, delaying the agreement, and systematically targeting all walks of life in the Gaza Strip.
Hamas said that we believe that the responsibility for endangering the lives of the hostages, like our people, rests with Israeli Prime Minister Netanyahu.
In its statement, Hamas urged the mediators and said, "We demand that the mediators fulfill their responsibility and implement the points that have already been agreed upon to end Israel's illegal occupation of Gaza."
Hamas said that the end of the Israeli occupation of the Gaza Strip was fully agreed upon in the talks held in July.
