Tokyo: Japan's Prime Minister Fumio Kishida has announced his resignation.
According to a foreign news agency, Japanese Prime Minister Fumio Kishida said in his statement that he will resign from his post next month.
Fumio Kishida says that politics cannot run without the trust of the people, he decided to resign for the sake of the people with the determination to carry forward political reforms.
He said that he will not fight for re-election as the leader of the Liberal Democratic Party.
According to foreign news agency, Fumio Kishida decided to resign due to public distrust in him, political conflicts and rising prices of essential commodities.
According to Japanese media, Fumio Kishida's LDP will elect the party president in September this year.
