22 more Palestinians were martyred as a result of the Israeli army's attack on the refugee school in Gaza.
According to the Palestinian Ministry of Health, at least 22 people, mostly women and children, were killed in an Israeli airstrike on a refugee school in the Al-Zaytoun area in Gaza on Saturday.
The health ministry said the school was closed during the ongoing war since October 7, after which displaced people took shelter.
On the other hand, the Israel Defense Forces said in its statement that it targeted a Hamas command center in Gaza, which the militant group was using to plan terrorist attacks.
Meanwhile, Hamas has denied using schools and other civilian locations for military purposes.
The official media office run by Hamas said that several children and six women were among those killed in Saturday's attack in the Al-Zaytoun area.
Gaza's Civil Defense Agency also reported the deaths, adding that one of the women was pregnant.
Earlier this month, the UN Agency for Palestine Refugees (UNRWA) said six of its staff members were killed in an Israeli airstrike on the al-Jayouni school in the Nusirat refugee camp.
According to UNRWA, the school has been targeted for the fifth time by Israel since October 7.
It should be noted that more than 41,000 Palestinians have been martyred in Israeli attacks in the ongoing war since October 7.
